Rogue Pictures have decided to strategically move the release date of Wes Craven’s latest, My Soul to Take, and thus avoid going up against fellow 3D horror flick, Saw 3D on October 29th. Now, opening three weeks earlier, My Soul To Take will hit theaters on October 8th.
The film’s first trailer, according to ShockTillYouDrop, will be hitting sometime in the next few weeks with it debuting in front of Piranha 3D and/or The Last Exorcism a week later. Stay tuned for more!

Series creator Len Wiseman (Live Free or Die Hard) told IGN that the fourth Underworld film is “all being written and talked about and hopefully all comes together. So we’re seeing how things happen. But we’re all keeping our fingers crossed.”
He added the plan right now is to bring Beckinsale back. “We’re both waiting to see what kind of story comes together. It’s just getting the script to a certain place where we’re both happy with it.”
There has been some strong speculation that the film would a direct sequel to the second film, and that it will hit theaters utilizing the tiresome 3D gimmick.
ShockTillYouDrop has reported – and confirmed – that when the seventh installment of the Saw franchise hits theaters on October 22nd, it won’t be followed by a roman numeral. LionsGate has instead opted for the film to be called Saw 3D with the tagline of The Traps Come Alive.
Wes Craven’s My Soul to Take, formerly known as 25/8, will be hitting theaters on October 29th and it will do so in 3D, according to ShockTillYouDrop. The long delayed Rogue/Universal pic is currently in the stage of being converted, but it is not known whether Craven is overseeing the process as he is currently busy with Scream 4.
My Soul to Take, which is written and directed by the legendary filmmaker, deals with a serial killer who vowed to return from the grave to kill the seven children that were born the night he died.
Box Office Mojo reports:
Despite The Final Destination being advertised as the last in the series, audiences will get at least one more chance to revel in gruesome 3D deaths when Final Destination 5 opens Aug. 26, 2011. Final Destination got the series off to a solid start in 2000, grossing $53.3 million. Subsequent entries Final Destination 2 and Final Destination 3 made $46.96 and $54.1 million, respectively. Opening at the end of August last year, The Final Destination, the first of the series to be in 3D, hit a series high of $66.5 million, so it should come as no surprise that Warner Bros. greenlit a fifth installment. Final Destination 5 is currently the only release scheduled for Aug. 26, 2011.
According to ShockTillYouDrop, word out of the Cannes Film Festival is that Dario Argento will direct a faithful, 3D interpretation to Bram Stoker’s Dracula. Production will begin in Italy, with filming set to roll in January.
The site states that “FilmExport Group is handling the sales at Cannes right now” and the synopsis for the film is indeed “a faithful translation of the Bram Stoker novel.” Roberto Girolamo and Gianni Paolucci will produce. For more, click here.
The Hollywood Reporter’s Heat Vision Blog is exclusively reporting that New Line Cinema has tagged Eric Heisserer – the scribe who penned The Thing prequel as well as the greenlight draft for the Nightmare on Elm Street remake - to write the fifth installment to the popular Final Destination franchise, which, like its predecessor, will be shot in 3D with an eye for a 2011 release.
